1. They are adults and private citizens whose father happens to be

a former president. Yes, leave them alone.

To be honest, I also thought going after Bush’s daughters for underage drinking when they were 19 (old enough in most of the rest of the world) was also unnecessary.

People should stop using politician’s children as a proxy for attacking their parents.

Mind you that Trump’s adult children were/are actively involved in running his businesses and Ivanka was a senior advisor in the White House, so they are deserving of criticism for their actions vis a vis that. Their actions, some of which may well be actual crimes, are worthy of public criticism on their own merits.
