It's Indigenous Peoples' Day! [View all]

It seems like a good time to recognize these extremely oppressed people. I am proud that my school district where I taught for decades never recognized the traditional name of this holiday. Not even in the 70's. And it shouldn't be recognized by anyone now unless it is renamed and honors the correct people.
