In reply to the discussion: President Biden, a grateful nation stands with you. [View all]MyNameIsJonas
(744 posts)25. That's fine.
I see no evidence most America, let alone a majority, back him on anything right now.
They might agree with him but his approval is going to remain low. Just as it did with Ukraine.
Really, I've never seen anything quite like it. Polls show Americans generally support the actions, like funding their effort and sending weapons but when it comes to approving of Biden's handling of Ukraine? Most don't.
Here's an article about the phenomenon:

"What he's doing is fundamentally what the American people want," Jackson said. "But even if Biden is doing everything that people want to do, he's not going to get a lot of credit for it."
I think it'll be the exact same with Israel. They'll support the generic points of what he's doing but they won't actually support him in general.

Just off the top, I think you might take a broader look at the map of America's reality.

Oh I think he'll win in 2024 but I'm being honest with the state of things.

Pretty sure you're not clear on how much Americans, esp. youth, agree with Biden & Democrats.

I got the spirit of what you said. Credit is nice. But it's the votes that will give Biden credit.

You've been insistent here beyond the spirit of this thread. Sorry that you feel frustrated, but

Only the one part you want to insist on emphasizing. Your map is not the territory.
