(744 posts)You're the one attempting to fit a square peg in a round hole. Everything you said was irrelevant to my point and that was that Biden has historically low approval numbers despite all the things he's accomplished. That I find troubling and disappointing, especially as we enter an election season where, despite everything, Trump is up by nine-points in Pennsylvania, 7 in Michigan and and 2 in Wisconsin according to the most recent polls.
If America had Biden's back, it would show - and it's not showing. There is nothing wrong with that statement. I get wanting to hope it into existence but it's just not true. Biden, for whatever reason, is not getting the support of the American people. That's going to be a challenge for him to overcome in 2024 but I am hopeful he will.
But no, I don't think Americans have Joe's back and thinking they do is doing a disservice to reality. America is broken. And all you have to do to see that is just look at Biden's overall approval.
It doesn't mean he won't win in 2024 but it does mean Americans aren't rallying around him like the post suggests and like we've seen with previous presidents.
