11. The fact that the right is still trying to wage a battle on birth control

and contraception shows how completely out of touch the party is. They lost this battle almost half a century ago with Griswold. I think this election made the contrast starker than ever - between Rush Limbaugh's attempted "slut shaming" and Akin's outcries over "legitimate rape" (oh and don't forget Murdouch's "it's God's will&quot , I don't know how any young woman could have voted republican. What fucking century is the party even living in?

People aren't going to forget this crap so easily. They're doubling down on the culture war, just as they're being defeated on several fronts - abortion/contraception, gay rights/marriage equality, and even marijuana legalization. No one in my generation (I'm 31) gives a crap who marries whom and who has sex whomever is just stuff of idle gossip. Contraception is just common sense. And marijuana is just a plant.
