The GOP's Come to Hey-Zeus Moment [View all]

In spite of all the calls for self-deportation of brown people, all those clever voter suppression initiatives -- and even after all the poison they've been serving up at Taco Bell -- the Latino demographic somehow keeps growing. And they're voting for Democrats. And the GOP finally smells big trouble.

The GOP blew it by nurturing a narrow base that doesn't reflect the faces of America, particularly the Latino ones who have been willing to show support in past elections.

An outside poll is asking what genius plans the Party of No might be plotting to win back the Latino base. You know whatever they do, it will have their special GOP brand of magic:

- Have Newt Gingrich draw a Frida Kahlo unibrow on Callista?

- Get the endorsement of the Fruit of the Loom cherry?

- Put a sombrero on Clarence Thomas?

What wouldn't you put past them?
