No More Rate Hikes Jerome [View all]
The stock market is soaring with the latest CPI inflation report. I guess the market assumes that Powell will be done with interest hikes, I'm not so sure, that's not what he said in his speech.
The main driver of inflation now is housing costs so that is no reason for Powell to raise rates.
We do not need any more slow downs in GDP growth from Powell.
