My thought was to suggest a way to keep both of them as they are the right team and at the same time appeal to groups who are disenchanted with the "old guard" DEMS that seem to "need" their vote but can't deliver (mostly due to Rethug obstruction).

Same team but by flipping the ticket maybe more exciting?

I have never been more proud of a President than Joe Biden. Hence trying to make sure he stays in the White House because this team rocks and needs to finish what they started.
