However, when people chose NOT to evacuate in times of danger, we do tend to call them lucky idiots or dead idiots, depending.

Since you believe it's more noble or something to stay and die, go for it. I'm betting you do not live in an area targeted for air strikes.

I evacuate for hurricanes. My sister evacuates for fire. The people of Syria are spending the winter in refugee camps in Turkey and Jordan BECAUSE STAYING ALIVE MATTERS NO MATTER WHAT THE THREAT.

I'm pretty sure the Palestinian fathers pounding on the Rafah Gates would rather keep their kids alive than engage in hysterical and useless blaming.

See, the evacuation discussion is moot. Egypt won't allow it. Egypt, not Israel. The people of Gaza are trapped. Egypt could save them. But Egypt has locked the Rafah Gate.
