1. Isn't that the very definition of "party over country"?

They'd rather their "crisis" continue, no matter what the human cost and despite their insistance on the damage this is supposedly doing to the country, as long as it fosters their own political prospects.

The fact that this is acceptable to so many people is just jaw dropping.
