12. Partisan Republican politics "trumps" the good of the nation.

The Republicans want the issue to be up front, but aren't in favor of President Biden and the Democrats getting legislation passed to solve the problem.
A bi-partisan solution isn't something they want to be a part of.
It's got to be their solution, or nothing at all.
