and if you want to take "ethnicity" from Americans you would not only have to do the
same for other traditional "immigrant" populations like those in Canada and Australia,
you would now have to do the same for certain European counties who
presently have sizable "immigrant" populations of their own.
Are "English" and "French" still ethnicities?...It would be odd if they were,
since being born and bred in these nations now means you have almost as much chance
of being of a person of color whose ancestors immigrated from
the Middle East, Southeast Asia or the former colonies of those countries.
I just hosted a "French" woman whose parents were entirely of Italian and Spanish ancestry.
In any case, bigotry is bigotry, be it on the basis of "nationality" or "ethnicity".
