Showing Original Post only (View all)U.S. Strikes at Houthis in Yemen for a Second Day [View all]
https://www.nytimes.com/live/2024/01/11/world/israel-hamas-houthi-yemen-news/here-is-the-latest-on-the-strikes-in-yemen?smid=url-share
U.S. officials said on Friday night that American forces had carried out another round of strikes against Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen, bombing a radar facility there.
It was the second round of strikes against Houthis in two days, following a coordinated, American-led air and naval assault a day earlier on nearly 30 Houthi targets in Yemen.
The new strikes came hours after a White House spokesman denied that the prior strikes were intended to ignite a wider regional war, which Houthi leaders and their allies vowed to respond to.
Were not interested in a war with Yemen, said the spokesman, John F. Kirby. Were not interested in a conflict of any kind. In fact everything the president has been doing has been trying to prevent any escalation of conflict, including the strikes last night.
Update 9:53
MSNBCs Pentagon correspondent just reported that tonight action was just on a single target, nothing like the scale of last night.

That was not point about Custer; stating that even with the best of superiority, unexpected bad things happen in war.

Easily avoided. Stop attacking the ships. Cease the terrorist attacks on civilians.

Most ports won't accept armed ships or even ones with mercenaries aboard to dock

So you're in favor of just letting the Houthi's continually attacking shipping in intl. waters?

So would you assert that the empirical evidence indicates President Biden is an imperialist?

No the rules make sense, but if you actually think President Biden is an imperialist, you're probably in the wrong place

Typically, when folks yell and scream at you who they are...they should be believed.
