our corporate owned media has executives whose fiduciary is ONLY to generate profits for shareholders. Not truth. Truth doesn't come into it, and our media is very manipulative. It drives its own wedges, creates its own 'horserace' narrative because it is good for shareholder profits.

In the end it all boils down to a misguided legal doctrine that was born from a MI Supreme Court Ruling that created the doctrine of shareholder primacy. Gun manufacturers, media, food manufacturers, healthcare for-profits like HealthOne and Centura, big pharma, big oil...ALL OF THEM have an interest in an ill informed public that mistrusts the very institutions, especially our government, that we need to trust in to preserve the republic.

Wall Street would be very happy with an authoritarian government that brutally quashes dissent. Them profits would keep rollin' in, at least until our dictator pulled the trigger on a world war.

The American people, most of them, are decent. But big money and politics has gotten in the way of truth.
