Assholes like Stone will claim "free speech", and that what they were saying was aspirational or metaphorical but not an actual threat.

Even if anyone was stupid enough to buy this excuse, saying stuff like that encourages rogue agents to try to carry it out. I'd like to see Stone in solitary. The worst thing you can do is deprive him of an audience.
