were only shamed into action because the fascists in the TNG literally watched people drown and people know. So of course they schedule for May. How many more people will the TNG allow to die or just kill during the intervening time? Of course they don't care. Migrants are replaceable in the Deep South. Hell, they bus 'em all over the place using their above-ground railway.
