14. It has been my understanding that K-Mart treats its people fairly, or at least reasonably well

I believe I read somewhere that when the company made the decision to get out of the low-cost retail trade they began to offer their long term employees training in the jobs that the company expected to require as it changed direction. It may have been misreported but that is the story that I recall.
