In reply to the discussion: 10 year old is the new model for Versace. I see this as an endorsement of unhealthy body - image [View all]I currently wear a 1 or a girls 14 or 16. I've had weight issues in the past of being too skinny, but I HAVE to lift weights to keep enough weight on me.
That said, knowing that I've been on both sides of the fence, we DO focus way too much on body weight and youth instead of appreciating health.
This child - and she IS a child - is 10. She has NO business being in a skirt that short. Yeah, I could wear it, but I am an adult (and it kind of sucks that I have to even resort to shopping in the kid's department because every designer assumes all women are 5'8" and taller).

I think she has been anorexic for a long time. I have never seen her look healthy. It is very sad.
