In reply to the discussion: Astoundingly dumb: Gen Z Voters Say They Are Opting Out of the 2024 Election [View all]sop
(18,541 posts)30. Here we go again.
The steady drumbeat of "I'm not voting to send a message to Democrats because they haven't done everything I want" bullshit begins anew. You'd think by now the "let it all burn down because I'm butt hurt" crowd would have figured out their progressive utopia is not going to miraculously rise like a phoenix from the ashes. When will these imbeciles come to their senses?

I've been having the same conversation with these (call them "disgruntled") voters since the 2000 debacle.

Where did I blame Gen Z for 2016? "Sending a message" has been around for decades.

Some Gen Zers were legally old enough, but not many (those born in 1997, and those born in 1998 before November 10th).

We Ignore this at our own peril. The campaign needs to address Gen Z's concern with Palestinians NOW.
