I guess I am feeling nostalgic as a long time DUer about the "good old days", although I know we faced very serious challenges from the day the forum started.
I started thinking about when I first started posting here. Everything was new (even the internet) and it felt so empowering to communicate with other progressives.
Here's my memory: California Peggy once posted that she replied to everyone who responded to one of her OPs. And she really did. For a while, I felt that that was the coolest thing, and I tried to do so as well. Of course I didn't follow through for too long.
There's only one CP.
So many funny and significant things have happened here over the years. What do you remember?

I still remember the 2004 election. I couldn't believe that Bush* had been reelected.

I figured after his abysmal first term, there's be no way he'd be reelected.
