(51,724 posts)Regarding your last sentence, if we assume your false premise and take your approach that we should be offensive, ... being nasty is no kind of antidote to soft-pedaling and fighting hard does not require any nastiness. The more emotion, the weaker the warrior. The clearer the person, the more focused and steely-edged they can be.
You are free, if you want, to snarl and say "magat" and offensive references to animal pests, but you get the greatest impact if you practice in front of a mirror. Of course though, offensive verbiage has no effect on magas.
In the meantime, there are many of us who don't wish to indulge in the kind of nazi name calling that they used to lay the groundwork so the populace would turn a blind eye to the cattle cars and one-way transportation.
Read my post again. For your convenience it is here:
I stopped.
I realized, when tRump referred to "vermin" and "poisoning blood" the way Hitler did, that calling them maggots (magats) was the same kind of thing.
Now I just write "maga", lower case. I don't dignify the deplorables with capitals. Readers will silently add a 't' as they read if they are in the old habit.
I wrote about myself with the only broader reference being the "us" in the title, and it is clearly about not soft-pedaling, nor about penetrating their awareness. Keep on "reaching" magas by being offensive if you think it works.
