2. working downticket is how the 18 wave happened.

here’s the thing about a tsunami- the water rises when it hits the beach. we need to b that solid surface that causes that wave to rise.

i’ll b working the polls on the day. i havent done it in several yrs, cuz it’s exhausting. but i feel like we need every bad ass we can find in the polling places. we dont have head judges here, but by my 2nd election, i ran my polls. other pollworkers looked to me for rules and procedures. i picked up the keys, checked the closet, made the call to election central. in 08, i was the 1 to talk down the folks who wanted to vote for obama but couldnt.
but i live in a cozy blue spot. my ward went 93% for obama. i dont expect any crap. but we do have a few nutjobs, so…

i highly rec the experience, even if you only do it once.
