54. I liked it in the beginning.

It was early in Biden's presidency that he referred to his predecessor as "the former guy." At that time, I was still basking in the blessed relief of Biden finally being in office after the nail-biting suspense of the election and the trauma of January 6, and I was in a "happy days are here again" kind of mood, knowing all that was behind us. (And not knowing what was still in front of us at that point!)

To me, TFG was code for, "Hey, asshole, you're NOT president anymore, neener neener neener!" I thought it was pretty funny, and for a while there, I really enjoyed using it. As long as he was hanging around Mar-a-Lago sulking and keeping a relatively low profile, it worked for me.

Hoewever, a lot of things have happened since then. He no longer feels like a laughable has-been to me, especially since he started running again and making noises about wanting to be the next Hitler. *shudder* TSF feels just right to me at this point in time, because it says exactly what he is!
