Yeah it's that kind of thinking that brought on the collapse in 08'. From what you've posted I have to assume that in your mind business comes first, before family, before friends, before everything. If there is a way to make a buck businesses should do it no matter how many people they have to screw over to get there. Good luck with that one.
If you feel the need to shop tonight go ahead. I'll be home with my family. Shopping can wait.
On edit: If you need to see a successful business that is successful because they don't follow that "make money at all costs" mantra check out Costco. They pay a decent wage plus benefits, the CEO's salary is capped, and they don't force their workers to work on holidays. Yet they are making a fortune... Go figure
