79. There's no saving AM radio.

Cruz and Co may make laws requiring auto manufacturers to keep AM radios in vehicles but AM is definitely on a deathwatch.

Worldwide, AM stations are closing down. A whole wave band - long wave - is for practical purposes dead. Short wave is a shadow of its former self. Regular AM - stations are closing all the time. India is however going digital in the AM and shortwave bands. Norway has even gone so far to turn off all analog radio.

The USA is far behind in the digital radio transition. People have switched from regular broadcast listening to Internet listening, generally by smart speaker in the home.
