But you're correct. Democrats have always claimed the high ground in that department, and we usually got our butts handed to us for being too nice. We're starting to catch up with the republiCAN'TS in that area, though, out of pure necessity. Either that or keep losing elections.
It's a shame it has to be that way, but Adlai was prescient in that regard. In order to get a majority these days, and in many days past, we have to play the republiCAN'Ts game better than they do. The country and its citizens are worse off for it.
