To your other point, I'm no software/IT professional, but why cant 'we" harden these hacking targets? These are not new businesses or facilities. We HAD water systems before computers. We HAD hospitals before computers. Etc. Why cant these places cut themselves off from being attacked from the outside? Especially water debts, electrical & fuel systems. We had water service long before computers, why do systems need to be connected to the internet? We does EVERY business have to be connected to the outside? And if you insist on nit, then separate your critical systems from the rest & have NO exposure to the outside world for your personal info or business secrets or whatever.
