The stock market is being lifted by a handful of high flyer stocks in AI. It is due for a pretty sharp pullback - totally normal - but likely to fuel economic anxiety.
In addition, there are a LOT of layoffs going on, and they are not finding new jobs quickly. For many younger workers, it is their first experience going through mass layoffs, so their anxiety is understandable.
A good stock market does not necessarily lift all boats.
