Olivia Rodrigo launches Fund 4 Good, a new reproductive rights initiative [View all]
While Olivia Rodrigo has soundtracked many young people’s teenage years, helping them reflect on that tumultuous period, her advocacy for teenagers and young people doesn’t stop at her music.
On Friday (February 23), Rodrigo kicked off the GUTS World Tour at Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs, California, by announcing her new global reproductive rights initiative, ‘Fund 4 Good’ – a play on her song “Good 4 U”.
In a TikTok video filmed before the show, she describes the endeavour: “The Fund 4 Good works to support all women, girls and people seeking reproductive health freedom. The fund will directly support community-based nonprofits that champion things like girls’ education, support reproductive rights, and prevent gender-based violence.”
For the North American leg of the tour, Rodrigo will be partnering with the National Network of Abortion Funds to help those impacted by healthcare barriers since the overturning of Roe v Wade in 2022.
