In reply to the discussion: You know how people compare Mitch McConnell with a turtle? [View all]cab67
(3,060 posts)43. I've heard the same.
Some primatologists I know compare bonobos and chimps with the different versions of Captain Kirk in an old episode of Star Trek, in which a transporter malfunction caused two versions of Kirk to beam aboard the Enterprise - one reflecting kindness and empathy, but the other reflecting decisiveness and impulse. The latter turned out to be violent, but the former was indecisive, and so a means of recombining them had to be found.

Cool. Thanks. Used to have a good sized terrapin that would periodically show up in backyard.

Thanks so much! I've had the exact same thoughts since I love turtles, too!
