(255 posts)32. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. My son is 18 and will be starting college in
January. His father and I have tried to explain to him that college is nothing like high school. He is extremely bright, loves to talk, and has never met a stranger. Having said that, he usually gets along much easier with adults. There are people old and young, little and big, that have an issue with him just because of his small stature. He seems to be always fighting battles that he didn't start. I think he has also tried to trust people until they proved untrustworthy. Unfortunately, he has learned some very hard lessons about trust. Thanks again, Louis C. You give me inspiration and lots of hope.
