In conducting that review, the Attorney General will give great weight to the views of the Special Counsel. The decision to release Trump on his own recognizance was made by a Magistrate Judge, which is who is empowered to make such decisions. Applying the standards of the Bail Reform Act, there is no way Trump was going to be jailed pending trial. None. Nada. Zero.
