My point was, here were several jerks who think black people are less than human and our storyteller's response was to pretend that yes, black people get what they want through being scary. Through being less than human, in fact.
I'm not saying that the jerks in question are at all educable. As adults, they're probably lost causes. But now they've got another tale to tell their equally racist fellows about how big black guys threatened to beat them up "just because they were speaking their minds."
And this is a good outcome?
How about telling the jerks to leave because they've violated standards of conduct for the place?
