C-section is more expensive, requires more people, is pretty much a malpractice suit magnet, and either (1) the woman’s insurance company is going to negotiate all the profit out of it or (2) you’re dealing with an indigent patient who’s gonna wind up on the “we were not paid” chart in the hospital’s annual report.
