4. Ahhh I had this argument with a friend a few months back

because when they went to the Doctor, they were asked if there were guns in the house (they also asked if they smoked, drank alcohol and had fire detectors, but I digress).

I explained that these were safety questions and if they answered in the affirmative, then safety literature would have been given. End of story.

Oh no, the gubmint is using Obamacare to find out where the guns are so they can snatch them away.

Oh the stupid, i burns.

But according to the Affordable Care Act page 2,037, line 23

Provision 1: Wellness and prevention programs may not require the disclosure or collection of information relating to the presence or storage of a lawfully possessed firearm or the use of a firearm.

Provision 2: You can’t collect data related to owning or using firearms.

Provision 3: You can’t use or maintain records of individual ownership or possession of firearms or ammunition.

Provision 4: You can't determine rates or eligibility for health insurance based on gun ownership.

Provision 5: Individuals do not have to disclose they own a gun
