In this election, forces were afoot who believe that the interests of common people should be subjugated to the interests of the elite, that not every citizen should have the right to vote and that certain people, such as those who have breasts instead of penises, need to be told what to do in their personal lives. They tried to divide Americans over chasms of wealth, race, faith and gender. They tried to prevent people from voting by passing unreasonable, restrictive laws requiring ID and even tried to send goon squads of "poll watchers" to disrupt voting. The candidates catering to the elite pleaded with their donors to tell those who work for them how to vote. There was no underhanded tactic to thwart the will of the voters that the Republicans and their elite clientel did not try.
The common people endured long lines, standing as long as nine hours in line to cast a ballot. Too many Americans have fought and died for the right to vote to let thugs like the Koch brothers, Rick Scott or Jon Husted take it away, and the people would not allow it.
If, as some claim, a band of cyber based Robin Hoods prevented Karl Rove from flipping Ohio from blue to red, that just adds to the sweetness.
Now, elitists, it's time to eat your spinach and pay your taxes.
