(26,519 posts)They called them The Greatest Generation and Im more than sure there were times of doubt, disparity and just plain tired of it all but they didnt give up. They sacrificed by doing without a lot of things like meat, butter, gasoline and all the things they needed tokens to make do. If they had the attitude some are expressing on this thread, we wouldnt be who we are today. Im the first to admit that I moan and groan and bitch about things but I gotta get over it and not let it consume me. We cannot and must not give up this good fight..for ourselves and our future that includes our kids and their kids. I read thru this whole thread and I get it..seems hopeless and justice is cross eyed but we cannot defeat our ourselves while in the doldrums. We gotta do what we gotta do..vote. And bring someone along to the polls with us. Help someone make sure their mail in ballot is marked and signed and mailed in. We have to do all we can..the stakes are too high not to.
