The war was over, but I always was a fan of comic strips, especially single panel toons, and Bill Mauldin (I admit I had to look it up) was so distinctive I was impressed. I remember the one where Joe is shooting his Jeep like it's an injured horse. That was a classic.

Thanx for taking me back to those days, and happy anniversary!
