In reply to the discussion: Tomorrow I head off to the Cleveland Clinic for a full day of testing about my Lung Transplant [View all]Science Geek
(161 posts)My partner and I have made several visits recently to the main campus of the Cleveland Clinic for his cancer treatment. Please be advised to leave earlier than you think is necessary, the traffic can get backed up very badly at this time in the morning on most of the major freeways near downtown Cleveland, and if you're more than about 15 minutes late, the clinic will reschedule your appointment. We're about 60 minutes (60 miles) away from the clinic, but we leave about two and half hours before our appointments, sometimes we get there with but 15 minutes to spare.
That said, I'm willing to bet you'll have a very positive experience with the Cleveland Clinic. Everybody there, and I do mean everybody, was professional, courteous, kind, prompt, and caring. In fact, I've never had any experience with any health care provider that even comes close to the great experiences we've had there. These folks are on the ball, know exactly what they're doing, and seem to really, truly care about the people who come through their doors. You'll be treating like a human being from beginning to end. And if you read the online bios of some of the doctors and surgeons there, you'll see that they are some of the very top people in their fields anywhere on earth. It is a simply amazing place!
