13. Why confront someone like that?

You cannot change their mind. What's the point? If someone actually believes that "Obama" is going to have the army go door to door to take their guns they obviously have no grasp of reality.
The only thing that can convince a person like that is TIME. And even that doesn't always work..

When Obama was elected in 08' a friend of mine ran out and maxed out his credit cards on guns and ammo because Obama was going to "make it illegal to sell guns". When this election started he brought up the whole gun thing again, when I mentioned he was still paying for the guns he bought 4 years ago and the fact that Obama didn't ban any sales or come and take his guns his reply was, "yeah but this time he doesn't need to get re-elected".

You cannot win.
