(15,909 posts)35. Since when does a college have any obligation whatsoever to respond to stupid shit one of its students says?
If we were talking about something said in a speech given at ISU, or some other activity sponsored or promoted by ISU, that would be one thing.
But this is, as far as I can tell, a personal social media post made by someone who happens to be a student at ISU. Why does anyone expect the university to apologize for it, or go further and assume the job of disciplining the student for it?
