This is not a political prosecution, although Trump wants people to believe that (do you?). Assuming he is convicted (and that's not a sure thing in any criminal case, since the prosecution has the burden of proving the offense beyond a reasonable doubt), his sentence will depend on a lot of things, including the fact that these are Class E felonies, the least serious in NY, sentencing guidelines, the fact that he doesn't have a criminal history (though he should), some level of discretion on the part of the judge, recommendations by the prosecution, and the additional complication of the fact that he also has a Secret Service detail. Your suggestion that he'll be given a deal and a country club lifestyle is on account of "Democrats wimping out" is ignorant and false, not to mention insulting to Judge Merchan.
