His lawyers won't object to outside issues being brought in because they're busy trying to figure how they're going to get him to pay them when he's going bankrupt and probably going to prison.

Maybe can make himself his own lawyer and then appeal the guilty verdict on the grounds of his lawyer's incompetence.
