...they just get mad because they think everyone is doing illegal shit, so it's somehow thus unfair to not let Trump get away with it too.

And, of course, they are angry about the (mostly imaginary) stuff they think Democrats are getting away with, and do want the law to come down hard on them, even if being a Democrat is the only thing a Democrat is "guilty" of.
