(6,609 posts)26. Laws are different in Germany & other EU countries.
In some countries I'm familiar with the government MUST bring charges if they believe laws have been broken, there's no prosecutorial discretion allowed. Not so in the US.

I admit it's a null hypothesis, but I think we'd have also have been disappointed in him as an SC justice.
