We need a thriving and functional Republican Party to counter check the Democratic Party and offer valid counter viewpoints as the minutiae of passing bills and laws are debated and hammered out.

Fascists will not tell the truth,.. Fascists will not contend with, permit, or allow differing opinions, Fascists will not govern by consensus, Fascists will not respect the dignity of other people who might be different from their clan, crowd, or group. And finally Fascists categorically refuse to compromise.

That is a recipe for a totally dysfunctional government - very similar to where we are stuck right now.
