Thats why Chris Hayes did a show in which, replete with charts and graphs, he showed us the real trend to look at is who has been winning races. That was after the red wave. But you still see people panicking over every close poll reported between Biden and trump.
This may be what Biden had in mind when he made the remark.
As for myself, I have a good deal of market research in my work background. Yes, millions, even billions of dollars in marketing decisions are made on such research but heres what is missing: when those marketers make decisions about strategy, it is never just those polls that are the factor. There is so much else they look at. The comparable would be the Chris Hayes approach.
