7. It's perfectly okay for you

to house your mother downstairs. Just convert a room, even the living room, into a place for her. Many people do. If you have to get a hospital bed, get an electric one. Don't try to save money with a crank. Hospital beds have been placed downstairs in all kinds of households. Nothing unusual about it. Keep your Mom as mobile as you can for as long as you can.

You will never be sorry you did what you need to do to keep your mother at peace. You are shepherding her through difficult days. Thank goodness she has you!
