In reply to the discussion: Columbia protesters occupy building, smashing windows; worker: 'They held me hostage' [View all]wnylib
(26,035 posts)70. If they became desperate enough for attention,
Would they physically hurt (but not kill) someone in the building and push them out through a first floor window with a note listing their demands and a threat of worse to follow if their demands were not met?
Would they be fanatically extreme enough to set part of the building on fire?

OP
Authorities should have let these protesters sit inside the building without food and see how long they last.

I want every one of these people investigated to figure out which ones are right wing agitators.

Peaceful protest does not involve seizing and destruction of property. Lock them up.

Keep them bottled up in the building, then, but enforce a total media blackout.

If they progressed to something that extreme, I feel like NYPD would have no choice but to act at that point.

Smashing windows, harassing students, holding university employees against their will is so "flower power".

I'm starting to wonder about the nexus of this whole "movement." It seems convenient

The Floyd protests too. These election year "movements" always seem to start out

I believe (w/ no evidence for or against) that the majority of the protesters are sincere
