Freak out at Texas border patrol checkpoint

They don't seize small amounts of anything.

It was the invasive questioning I took exception to:

Where do I live? - None of your business, I'm American.
Why were you in Mexico? - None of your business, I'm American.
How long were you there? - None of your business, I'm American.
Where are you going in the US? - Home
Where is home? (points north) That way

Establish citizenship, check for contraband, let me pass. I don't get this in airports. Not even my wife got that with her IR1 when I was with her in Boston.

What is amazing is I live in Western PA Technically, I'm within that 100 miles of a border crap. But I see no border patrol checkpoints. Nor did I when I grew up in Niagara Falls. In fact, I didn't know what border patrol was until I went to U of Arizona.

I never got the invasive questioning crossing Rainbow or Lewiston Bridges back from Canada.

So our border policies are racist and selective AF.
